Home- Part 2.

Well now that I’ve tried out the WordPress app on my phone, I have finally found a few minutes of peace to open my computer!  First and foremost, allow me to share the following:

HE’S HOME!  Our fifth deployment finally came to an end last month, and I couldn’t be happier that it is done.  We made it through 8 long months and the reunion was just as sweet as we had hoped it would be.  We are now in the midst of preparing for our move to El Centro, CA next month which I still dread.  Im a big girl and I am not built for desert heat.  But Im a Navy wife and we adapt and overcome.  I have decided that to help ease my nerves about this move, I am knitting up a nice fat stack of kitchen towels and dish cloths in ocean blues and greens.  The stack is coming along nicely- some of the patterns I have used thus far include the ever useful Grandmothers Favorite Dishcloth, the Basket Rib Hand Towel, and the Squidge Cloth.   I’ve found that the Basket Rib Hand Towel uses exactly one skein of Knit Picks CotLin (I HATE wasting yarn), and that one skein will also make 1 Grandmothers Favorite dishcloth AND 1 squidge cloth, with just enough yarn left over to knit up a small tawashi.  If Im going to be living in a less than desirable place, at least I will have  a lovely, yarny kitchen.

Home- Part 1.

Back to blogging!

That is all for now.  Partly because I wanted to try outthe WordPress app on my phone, and partly because I realized all the good stuff that I wanted to share with you all is on my computer.
